Reuse Guide How it works

How one-click interest and fair selection work

No fastest-finger race and no persuasive private messages: everyone uses the same interest button before a recipient is chosen.

Showing interest

A signed-in member clicks I'm interested. That action adds their name to the interested list. No introductory message is required and messaging remains locked.

Why this is different

Ordinary giveaway groups can reward the first person to send a message or create pressure on the giver to answer many people at once. Reuse Kirklees separates interest from collection arrangements.

Choosing a recipient

The giver can choose an eligible member manually or use the website's selection option. The listing records who was selected and displays the collection deadline.

After selection

Only the selected recipient can message the giver about that item. The giver can send the saved private collection location, and both members can arrange the handover.

If collection falls through

The selected person can give up the item, or the giver can record that collection did not happen. Another eligible interested member can then be selected without creating a new listing.
